About Tony Walton
Tony Walton is a highly experienced investigator with more than 27 years of service with Western Australia Police, retiring at the rank of Detective Sergeant. During his policing career Tony conducted complex investigations across a number of specialist investigative units including the Serious and Organised Crime Squad, Major Fraud Squad, Child Abuse Squad, and Criminal Investigation Branch. These roles required the investigation of serious and complex matters involving fraud, corruption, organised crime, and sensitive allegations requiring careful evidence assessment and professional investigative practices.
Integrity and Regulatory Experience
Following his policing career, Tony worked as a Senior Investigator with Racing and Wagering Western Australia, conducting investigations relating to integrity, regulatory compliance, and misconduct within the racing industry. Tony currently serves as the Competition Integrity Officer with the Perth Football League, where he oversees investigations into misconduct, governance issues, and competition integrity matters within community sport. This experience provides a practical understanding of the integrity risks faced by both organisations and sporting bodies.
